Friend or Foe

Onelia and I built a raised garden bed for my sister the other week. We made it out of cedar fence boards. I got the idea of using these boards from Roland. The bed is 3 x 6 and is 11 inches deep.
It’s Memorial Day Weekend. The start of the grilling season. The unofficial start of summer (officially summer June 21st “the Summer Solstice”, the longest day of the year). Tonight I grilled some ribeye steaks. Rubbed with olive oil, seasoned with kosher salt, fresh cracked black pepper, and garlic powder. I grilled on high heat. Then before removing from the grill I put a slice of butter on each steak. I was reading that’s what restaurants do. Steak was tasty, not sure whether it was restaurant style since i plated it and served myself.
I’ve been married for a month.
Nice.

YES! the conch stew was quite tasty at the hurricane. It was a rainy late lunch. I had a great sunset view from my seat. Well a sunset wall. Onelia and I paid our $1.25 parking. We felt silly when we noticed no one else was paying for parking. Always great to spend time with O.
